Six of us ate here over the weekend (my cousin, their kids, and a toddler) and had a pleasant experience! We went around lunchtime on a Sunday and just barely missed the lunch rush as we were seated immediately. Tables are a bit close together but it isn't the largest space either. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to any needs (we kept asking for extra bowls, napkins, etc.. ) and they never made it feel like an inconvenience. I ordered the chicken curry (which has a slight kick) and it was tasty and a reasonable portion size. My husband ordered a pho and thought the soup broth was sweeter than he is used to but still decent. Their viet coffee was pretty sweet as well. Thought it was a positive experience overall and we would eat here again.
I went for lunch on a Thursday and I didn't have to wait at all. The staff was super friendly and made small talk with me when I was checking out. The pho, was simply amazing, with its deep and complex flavors- the broth, amazing! It had a very generous serving of beef which I appreciated and left me desiring nothing more but a return visit as soon as possible. The restaurant was very cozy. I loved the decor as it seemed very inviting and colorful and all in good taste. It does have very large windows which was great to look out of as you were enjoying your warm soup on a cold winter day!
The food of so perfect if you are needing something to hold for over until dinner, light and filling! The dish was about $17, including all the jalapenos, sprouts and mint leaves
This review is based on takeout. Since it started raining the last couple days of visiting, we wanted to enjoy some pho before heading out to the airport. Unfortunately, we couldn't dine in for fear of being delayed at the airport, so we ordered take out. Appreciated the utensils in our to go bag. We had to slowly add the ingredients in the broth container but we made it work. The vegetarian broth was flavorful and the veggies were delicious. We also devoured the fresh tofu spring rolls so not pictured. Hope to visit Seattle again so we dine in and enjoy the pho in the environment.
I stopped by after the cold morning to get something hot and delicious. The service was definitely on point. The server greeted me when I walked in with a smile. The interactions with other guests seem genuine and can see some of them were repeat customer. It was fairly large place with bunch of seatings. The décor was fitting and colorful. I ordered steak with tendon pho and pork and shrimp spring rolls. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee for an afternoon boost. All the phos were one size. The bowl looked very slim to the eye but was pretty deep. The broth was on point and delicious and came with hefty amount of veggies. The spring roll was fresh and crunchy as it should be. The Vietnamese coffee was almost good but I didn't see the original drip coffee maker that's normally used. It sorta looked like one of those premade mix coffee. I couldn't finish all the food and had to take half of the spring roll home. I would definitely come back to enjoy the food again and maybe ask about how they make their coffee.
A standard pho experience located in the city of Seattle, I recently visited here later in the night as it was one of the few places still open. A few positive points, the restaurant was small but clean and the wait staff were quick and attentive. The food was pretty standard in flavor, nothing over cooked and all the flavors were fresh and as expected. It didn't blow me away but it definitely hit the spot that night! Overall, if you're looking to satisfy your pho cravings and are in the area, Pho Viet Anh is a great candidate to fill that void!
This is near the space needle, we ended up here when other restaurants we planned were full. We had a wait time here too but were seated in 10 minutes. We ordered Tofu Salad Rolls Tofu Veg Chay Stir fried vegetables Good food, good service. As you know, broth makes all the difference in Pho, which was good.. You have only one choice for vegetarians like other places.
Really good Pho, located a bit north of downtown Seattle. April 29 has special significance for my brother and me, so I wanted to go to this restaurant whose name I liked (Anh means 'intellectual, bright' in Vietnamese) on that day. After visiting Pike's Market, we took the 25 minute walk to Pho Viet Anh around 7:10, 50 minutes before it closed. It was still fairly busy inside, but we were able to get a seat for 2 once it was cleaned. The two gentlemen inside were not particularly friendly, but the place was very modern and the reviews for their beef noodle soup made me want to try it. We figured 50 minutes was enough time to eat, and I wanted to try other things on the menu too. My brother was game. First was the crispy pork & shrimp rolls ($6.5). It was two small spring rolls, deep fried for a long time. Very crispy...couldn't really taste anything of what is inside. Second, 4 chicken wings, vietnamese-style. ($7). It came with a generic sweet and sour dipping sauce. The pieces were decent size, and very crispy. I misread the menu thinking it was 6 pieces (which would have been a real value). Third. My brother asked the waiter what was a must-have on the menu. The waiter gave a generic answer of beef short ribs ($5), 2 pieces of LA-style Kalbi in a decent teriyaki inspired sauce. The pieces were small and grisly, but actually a good deal. I ordered some steamed rice to go with it ($2.5), which was a good choice. Fourth. Two big bowls of Pho. They only come in one size, and it translated to what a large would be in most places. My brother got the Combo (steak, brisket, fatty flank, and meatball for $17). I got the King special (steak, brisket, fatty flank, meatball, tendon, tripe for $19). Both had plenty of meat, though wish they gave more toppings (just basil and bean sprouts with a slice of jalapeno and lime. The broth was good, a slight sweetness and not oily. The oiliness of Pho will often cause me gastro problems, but surprisingly, my stomach felt OK as we walked over to the Pier. It was a good dinner for this special occasion, and really enjoyed spending this last day of our trip with my brother.
This was the first spot we ate at on our first trip to Seattle so it set the bar, and boy did it set the bar high. TL;DR 5/5 would recommend and would definitely make a return visit to this establishment. Staff seated us quicklyfor lunch, and served us promptly and with a great demeanor. As a Vietnamese immigrant, I normally judge a Vietnamese joint based on their pho, but Thursday 4/25 just wasn't a pho day for me, so I ended up getting one of my other favorite staples, a noodle dish: the Bún Tôm Nuóng (noodle salad with grilled prawns). Prawns were grilled perfectly and abundant, nuoc mam was on point, and while I wasn't expecting to be able to finish the entire bowl after a 6 hr flight, I wiped it clean. My GF and friend both got the Gà Xã (lemongrass and onion chicken noodle salad), which my GF also housed, and our other friend got the Suon Bò Nuong (grilled beef short ribs rice plate), which he KO'd. Oh, and we started with the Cha Gio Man (crispy pork and shrimp rolls), Goi Cuon Tom (shrimp salad rolls), a Tra Thai (Thai iced coffee) and three Cà Phê Sūa Dá (Vietnamese iced coffee), all of which were sublime. Had I worn sweatpants I probably could have eaten a second helping. We ended up getting three Cá Phê Sūa Dá to go and started the rest of our Seattle trip...what a great start to it. A++
